The Tridge is home

by Daniele Herzberg

This is a foggy picture of the Tridge which is located in Midland Michigan. The Tridge is a bridge that crosses where the Chippewa River meets the Tittabawassee River. The Tridge has so many memories attached to it and the water below. When I think of the Tridge I think of jumping off of it into the water below as a rite of passage, or about how when the water rises it floods up onto the street and the edges of the bridge and kayaking becomes way more fun, or about how everyone in the town of Midland knows that on Farmers Market Saturdays the Tridge will be full of people. The Tridge is home.
