The McKenzie River flows out of lava fields in Oregon's High Cascades and roars over Sahalie Falls as it makes its way powerfully downstream into Oregon's Willamette Valley.

 

The river is treasured by Southern Willamette Valley residents who have worked tirelessly to protect this precious freshwater resource from pollution and destruction.

 

The film is dedicated to he McKenzie River Trust and all those who work to preserve rivers everywhere in the world.

 

"McKenzie Power" is part of the six-film "In Oregon, Naturally" series that has aired on community television stations across the U.S.

 

It was nominated for "Best Documentary" and "Best Oregon Film" in the Winter 2019 Oregon Cinema Arts Film Festival.
