From Olivia Shortt (composer): "At the time of the creation of this work (2020), there are/were numerous Indigenous reservations all over Turtle Island that are under water-boiling advisories who don’t have access to clean drinking water. This piece is my offering to the ongoing discussion and amplification of the importance of advocating for the water rights of Indigenous peoples."
